A GREAT Organic September 10, 2010 Brittany I am 22 years old african american female,I am currently beginning to change my hair over to natural from chemicl,no more relaxer. But i am also searching for hair care products that are all natural! I have bought two of these products,at once, the hair honey and the healthy hair butter..and let me tell you these have NO petroleum jelly or mineral oil in them!!!!! (just so you know, those ingredients cause clogging of porse on the scalp and make it harder for hair to take in the nutrients)This is definitely worth its price or more, but a great all natural hair product with a very nice scent!!!
Sticky product September 9, 2010 Shop2Much This smells really good, but.....Not very effective. I do not feel like it moisturizes the hair at all. I little goes a long way and will do the job with an initial application, but wears off and leaves the hair feeling sticky and stiff. Not a fan and will not purchase again.
Great hair honey! September 6, 2010 Joyce B. (California) The Mimosa Hair Honey is wonderful! First of all, it arrived on the date promised. Based on the reviews I decided it would be better for my hair than one of the water based products. I'm not conversant with the number/alpha system of grading hair, but mine is an abundance of thick, soft and kinky loveliness, so breakage is a concern as well as finding a product with enough oils (and of course without mineral oil or petroleum). I wear my hair natural, and am not interested in waves, shine, etc, just healthy hair. Some of the Carol's Daughter hair butters list water as the first ingredient, which would dry out my hair. The smell is pleasant, although heavy. I apply it at night so it won't compete with other fragrances.
Took out my hair September 2, 2010 A. McLain (Southern Westcoast) I really wanted to like Carol's daughter products so when my sister in law said she bought it for my niece and it was working wonders when she first tried it, I jumped on board. A few weeks later she tells me my nieces hair is falling out and her scalp is itching...but because my sister in law can be a little dramatic some times, I was like 'yeah yeah, really?'. So when I first started using it I'd alternate it with another product. I have my hair in sisterlocks so I treated them with this product right after washing ...sort of like a hot oil treatment. When I started using the product exclusively, I started noticing my hair all over the house, at my desk at work and everywhere...not to mention this relentless itching and very dry flakey scalp...right after I washed it??? It occurred to me, my sister-in-law was not being hysterical, I was having problems with it too! I stopped using this product the second I realized the problem and now have an almost full jar I plan to toss out. I also had the spray scalp oil and upon my first use of that I felt a sort of burning sensation on my scalp...then after a few uses, it went away. I'm not sure what they are putting in these products but they are not for our family... We cannot do the itchy flaky scalp and hair falling out...
Please do not discontinue!!!!! August 12, 2010 Mrs. Margarett G. Nwankpah 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been searching for a product to both add shine and moisture to my thick course shoulder length hair...I think that I have FINALLY found what I am looking for! It is great for dry ends too! It has only been a couple days but already I am LOVING this product. Mind you I air dry my hair and do not add any heat products to it. Please do not change a thing! It smells good and works! My fear is that it will get discontinued for some reason...so I had to leave my review on this product and I ordered another 5 jars just in case! Love the fact that the shipping was free and that it was priced reasonably well and arrived sooner than expected! And it works wonderfully! I have tried many natural hair products that have just left my hair feeling dry and brittle...just can't get the moisture that I needed. Thank you, thank you, Carol's Daughter!!!!!
